How to Solve the Losomn Clock Tower Puzzle in Remnant 2

To solve the Clock Tower puzzle, you need to get the Clockwork Pinion by matching the time based on clues. The process goes like this:

  • Ascend the Hewdas Clock Tower and activate the elevator. Take note of the time once you’re back outside.
  • Find the Clockmaker’s Shop in Lemark District. Match the time with the one on the device to obtain the Clockwork Pinion.
  • Return to the tower and place the Clockwork Pinion to obtain your loot.

How to Reach the Hewdas Clock Tower

Due to dynamic campaign progression, there’s no guarantee that you’ll find the Remnant 2 Hewdas Clock Tower. In my case, I came across this area while exploring Losomn for the Nightweaver main quest. Since the elevator doesn’t work, I ascended the structure by way of ledges, ladders, and scaffoldings along the walls. Just beware of Seraph Archers here, since they can shoot and stab you if you’re not careful.

Once you reach the top, you’ll notice a missing item that needs to be placed in the gears. For now, flip the switch to activate the power. Pull the lever so you can ride the elevator back down. Once you’re back outside, carefully look at the hands of the clock tower and take note of the time.

Clockmaker’s Shop and Clockwork Pinion

Next, it’s time to look for the Remnant 2 Clockwork Pinion item. Check the zone to find a path that leads to Lemark District. There are only a few enemies in that area, so take them out. At the back end, you’ll discover the Clockmaker’s Shop, which has a device. Move the hands of the clock until they match the time on the tower. In my playthrough, the correct time was 10:17, though it might be different in your run.

Reward: Broken Timepiece and Time Lapse Mod

Once you solve the Losomn Clock Tower puzzle, you’ll receive the Clockwork Pinion. Return to the tower and place it in the gear. This will allow you to pull the lever, causing the purple item to fall. If you pick it up, you’ll get the Broken Timepiece.

The Broken Timepiece can be exchanged with Ava in Ward 13 to obtain the Time Lapse mod. It has the following effect: Creates a six-meter blast that freezes all standard enemies for seven seconds. Dealing damage to frozen enemies breaks the effect, though it also applies slow for the remaining duration.
