Star Wars Jedi: Survivor — Shattered Moon Versus Stone Spires

This decision occurs at the end of the initial main quest arc on the planet of Jedha. As you’re about to leave the base, you’re told that research needs to be completed, and two locations will be presented. So, will you pick Shattered Moon or Koboh’s Stone Spires in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

Thankfully, you won’t be locked out regardless of your choice, as you’ll still need to visit the other location to progress the campaign further. As such, there are no long-term consequences.

What’s more important to discuss are the differences between the two locations, in case you’re trying to pace yourself while playing the game.

Why Should You Go to Shattered Moon First?

The answer is mostly for a change of pace. Shattered Moon is a new location, so the environment will look different. There’s also a focus on traversal sections, such as metal grates with electric traps and crisscrossing ziplines. Combat encounters are also a given due to numerous Droids and Bedlam Raiders.

As for your reward at the end? Well, you’ll receive the Crossguard Lightsaber Stance. This two-hander technique is great against shielded enemies and those with higher guard meters. You can learn more about our rankings in our Lightsaber tier list guide.

Why Should You Go to Koboh Stone Spires First?

The answer: purely for breathtaking sights. Yes, you’re back on Koboh once again, but the locale is quite different from what you’re used to. In the Stone Spires, the emphasis is on flight and puzzles.

You’ll glide on Relters to reach other rock formations, and you’ll also acquire the Koboh Grinder. This tool can by used by activating BD-1. It allows you to redirect flames to burn away gunk, revealing exit passages and rewards.

Your main goal here is to realign the lasers so you can reach the manse at the topmost cliffside section. Likewise, you might find a couple of perks if you keep your eyes peeled.
