It just wouldn’t be Friends of Mineral Town without the Harvest Goddess, and fortunately, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town brings the Goddess back with plenty of divine glory.

Like before, the Harvest Goddess is a marriage candidate if you’re willing to work for it. But making friends with the Goddess offers a wide range of benefits on its own, including the option to buy pets.

Our SoS: Friends of Mineral Town Harvest Goddess guide breaks down every aspect of the Harvest Goddess, the items she likes, and how you can marry her.

Friends of Mineral Town Harvest Goddess Guide

You’ll find the Harvest Goddess in the waterfall pool right outside the main mine, near the hot springs. If this is your first time in Mineral Town, go south out of your farm and head west at the crossroads near carpenter shack (Botss’ house).

You can toss an item into the Harvest Goddess’ pond once per day. As with all gift giving in Friends of Mineral Town, you’ll want to focus on what the Harvest Goddess likes or loves since anything else won’t really do you much good in the friendship department.

Harvest Goddess Loved Items and Harvest Goddess Liked Items

The Harvest Godess thanks the player for an item near a pond and waterfall.

The Harvest Goddess only has two loved items, strawberries and pineapple, neither of which you’ll have access to in the first year. So you’ll want to focus on the Harvest Goddess’ liked items, which are fortunately much more plentiful and common.

Harvest Goddess Rewards

You’ll get a special gift for every set number of liked or loved items you throw at the Goddess. Even if you aren’t interested in everything else or marriage, it’s worth giving her 10 items because you’ll get a Power Berry.

# of Items Gift Description

Friends of Mineral Town Harvest Goddess Marriage Requirements

The shipping log shows turnips, potatoes, and other items and their numbers for shipping.

You’re in for a long haul if you want to marry the Harvest Goddess. There’s a laundry list of things to do that basically has you plumb the depths of everything Friends of Mineral Town has to offer. And it’s a five-year journey because she won’t marry you until Year 5.

Completion Requirements

Shipping Items

That gives you plenty of time to do the next requirement: complete the shipping list. You’ll find the shipping list on your bookshelf at home, and it’s essentially a list of everything you can ship in the game. You’ll need to ship at least one of everything on the list to catch the Harvest Goddess’ eye.

Fishing

You’ll also need to catch one of every fish, which will take at least one year, possibly more. There’s a Fishing Log on your bookshelf if you need to keep track as well.

The fishing rod is a gift from Zack when you visit his house on the beach, and you can fish in a few different areas:

  • Downstream
  • Lake
  • Hot Spring
  • Winter Mine
  • Ocean
  • Upstream
  • Goddess’ Pond

The type of fish you’ll encounter in each area changes depending on the season. It’s not quite as simple as just catching ’em all, though, since you need to catch the six Guardian Fish, which we go into more detail about in our fishing guide.

You can’t catch Guardian Fish without a fishing rod that’s level six or higher, and you can’t forge those at Saibara’s place.

The level six fishing rod is the Cursed Rod, and you’ll find that on floor 29 of the Lake Mine. That’s the one you can only access in the winter when the lake freezes. Save before going in, though, because it’s not guaranteed the Cursed Tools will appear.

Note that you can’t un-equip Cursed Tools until they’ve been blessed. The Cursed Rod turns into a Blessed Rod when you’ve used it 50 times, either actually fishing or just pressing the button.

At the time of writing, the Japanese version 1.1.2 requires you to fully upgrade every tool before the Cursed Tools will appear. So far, the Western version is at 1.0.1 with nothing mentioned in the patch notes about that.

Plunder the Mines

The player character stands in front of a cave entrance near a pond, waterfall, and bamboo.

On top of catching every fish, you’ll need to get all the special items in the mines: Goddess Orbs, Kappa Orbs, and the Teleport Stone.

Goddess Orbs are in the Spring Mine on the following floors:

  • 60
  • 102
  • 123
  • 152
  • 155
  • 171
  • 190
  • 202
  • 222

Each Goddess Orb is in a random stone, but they aren’t guaranteed to show up. Like with the Cursed Tools, save before going down to a floor with a Jewel so you can re-load and try again if they aren’t there. Once you have all nine, you’ll form the Goddess Gem.

The same goes for Kappa Orbs. These are in the Winter Mine in the lake:

  • 0
  • 40
  • 60
  • 80
  • 120
  • 140
  • 160
  • 180
  • 255

All nine form the Kappa Gem, which can restore fatigue.

Floor 255 of the Lake Mine is also where you’ll find the Teleport Stone. It, too, is hidden in one of the rocks, but you’ll need to be in at least Year 3 for it to appear.

Proposing to the Harvest Goddess

The Harvest Goddess thanks the player for an offering.

As mentioned, make sure to pick the Harvest Goddess as your romance partner during the 20 items event. You’ll also want to buy a large bed, like with other marriage candidates, and the Harvest Goddess’ heart meter needs to be red.

The trouble with that is you can’t actually see it. Suffice to say, if you’re giving the Harvest Goddess gifts on a daily basis, you can be pretty confident she’ll be at the red heart level by Year 5.

With all these requirements under your belt, go to the Church on Monday, Wednesday, or any rainy or snowy day. Head to the confessional at the back, and speak with Carter. Choose to confess, and admit your desire to marry the Harvest Goddess.

Some are saying the option only appears randomly, so you may need to try over multiple days.

Finally, just buy a Blue Feather from the store, and throw it in the Goddess’ Pond. If you’ve done everything on the list, she’ll accept your proposal.

And that’s absolutely everything you need to know about the Friends of Mineral Town Harvest Goddess, but be sure to check out our other Friends of Mineral Town guides to get the most out of your time on the farm.
