If you’re ready to kick your game up to the next level, you could even consider Dual Wielding guns or pairing a Handgun with your Sword in order to help you shred through the enemies that stand in your way. However, the option to pair weapons together like this isn’t available from the start and must instead be unlocked as you make your way through the game.

In this guide, we’ll cover how to unlock both the Dual Wield and Sword and Gun functions, learn how to equip a Dual Wield set, and go over all of the weapons that can benefit from Dual Wielding.

Let’s dive in!

How to Dual Wield in Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet

In order to unlock Dual Wielding, you simply need to complete a certain Main Quest. The Sword and Gun pairing is unlocked first after the 15th Main Quest. Not too long after that, the ability to Dual Wield guns is unlocked after the 17th Main Quest.

In order to check what Main Quest you’re on, just head into the start menu and navigate to the Quests page. It should show you how many Main Quests you’ve completed. If you’ve completed 17 Main Quests, then you have the ability to Dual Wield unlocked already.

Once it’s unlocked, you can finally equip Dual Wield weapon sets in the Main and Sub slots for each character. To do so, simply hit the Triangle or Y button on PS4 or Xbox One respectively while hovering over a compatible weapon. Doing this with a Sword will attach a compatible Handgun, while doing this with a gun simply equips you with another version of the same gun.

You can Dual Wield several different types of guns, including Handguns, Shotguns, Submachine Guns, Assault Rifles, and Rocket Launchers. It’s important to note that not every weapon within these categories can be Dual Wielded, but there are at least some that can. Be sure to test out all different kinds of weapons to figure out which ones are capable of Dual Wielding.

With that, you know everything you need to know to start Dual Wielding in Gun Gale Online. Be sure to check out our other Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet guides for more tips and tricks on getting by in GGO.
