The best companions for voidship posts in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader are those with the highest stats in the following skills: Persuasion, Demolition, Tech-Use, Athletics, Lore (Warp), and Awareness. Since there are 10 recruitable companions, plus your own character, you should have all bases covered.
How Do Voidship Posts and Roles Work?
You can select voidship post companions in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader by pressing the “K” key or equivalent on your platform. This opens the voidship menu, and you can click on the posts button to see another screen.
There are six voidship posts in the game that need an officer role. The idea is to have a companion manning that post, assuming their relevant skill is high enough. If you meet these requirements, you’ll be able to use abilities specific to that post as long as you’ve unlocked them.
For instance, I’ve already unlocked Expeditious Reload, Torpedo Control, and All Hands on Deck, all of which are offensive-based abilities. If I make Sister Argenta my Master Cannoneer, I’ll be able to use all three in combat due to her high Demolitions skill.
