Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Gets New TGS Trailer and Screens

New footage from Square Enix's remastered classic RPG Final Fantasy XII comes to Tokyo Game Show 2016

Square Enix have released a new trailer for their upcoming HD remaster of Final Fantasy XII, titled The Zodiac Age.

The Tokyo Game Show 2016 trailer is paired with a host of new screenshots which show off the game’s combat and scenery, inviting players back into the intriguing world of Ivalice.

Apart from the upgraded graphics, this HD remaster of the 2006 game will include trophy support, a newly recorded soundtrack, and a reconstructed battle system.

The game’s graphics have received an overhaul.

 

As a port of the Japanese International Zodiac Job System version which was never released in the West, The Zodiac Age also boasts a number of new features.

This includes an interesting job system and useful mechanics such as High Speed Mode, which allows players to travel across the game’s huge world much more rapidly.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is scheduled for worldwide release on PlayStation 4 in 2017.

The iconic Judge Gabranth is an imposing presence in the new trailer.

 

The acclaimed real-time battle system returns with a few tweaks.

 

Even at its most frantic and furious, the game is looking beautiful!

 

Players will be excited to return to fan favorites Fran and Balthier.

 

A plethora of beasts, from Marlboros to Behemoths, awaits in the vast world of Ivalice.
