Resident Evil Has Been Left 4 Dead

Valve and Capcom are working together to bring us an unexpected cross-over.

A project like this can only come from the minds of the fans. Or at least, that’s what you’d think. But this PC-exclusive material isn’t an elaborate April Fool’s joke. It’s happening.

In celebration of Resident Evil 6’s PC release, Capcom and Valve have collaborated to bring together their respective action-packed zombie-killing games.

As you can see from the above screenshot, special infected from Left 4 Dead are now roaming the scene in Resident Evil’s Mercenaries mode. Aside from the Witch, you’ll be witnessing Tanks charging through hordes of the undead.

“These Infected do not respect lines!”

The cast of Left 4 Dead 2 will also be making an appearance in the PC-exclusive, The Mercenaries No Mercy with their own unique loadouts.

Fearsome foes from Resident Evil are expected to cross-over into Left 4 Dead’s playing field as well – namely the Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogreman. As for whether or not the Resident Evil cast will be entering the fray, the developers are looking towards the players.

All of this content will be made to PC players for free. Resident Evil 6 will be available to the PC on April 5th! Left 4 Dead 2 is currently 75% off during Steam’s Midweek Madness sale!
