5 Best Finishers In Apex Legends

For players that want to slay in style, this list of Apex Legends' top finishers features enemy executions from Bloodhound, Wraith, Mirage, and Pathfinder.

Apex Legends is all about teamwork. Forming strategies on the fly, making sure to revive fallen squad mates, and sharing ammo – being a real champion means doing your part. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you can’t be a little selfish too.

One of the best forms of self-gratification in Apex Legends is the finisher. Being able to stroll up to a downed opponent, preferably one that gave you a lot of trouble, and execute them in style is just the bees knees.

Not all of Apex Legends’ finishers are created equal though. Some are rather humorous, in a morbid sort of way, others are just down right brutal, and some aren’t worth looking at.

To help you decide on which finishers are worth equipping, we’ve compiled a list of the top five finishers that are currently available in the game. Because who doesn’t want to properly humiliate a troublesome rival?

Hold X to Slay

Before we get into which finishers are the best, some players may be wondering how to actually perform them. Fortunately, it is quite simple.

All you have to do is whittle down an enemy’s life bar until they start crawling on the floor. At that point, you’ll need to walk up to them and hold the corresponding action button: X on Xbox, Square on PS4, and E on PC. Make sure none of your opponent’s teammates are around though; getting shot will interrupt your finisher, resulting in you being humiliated for your efforts.

Bloodhound: With Honor

Bloodhound’s With Honor finisher is great because it respectfully dispatches your foe. Sure, you took them out in gruesome fashion – a knife to the gut is a tough way to go – but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be honorable about it.

Giving them back their gun and saluting lets them know that you saw them as a worthy adversary. It’s as if you’re wishing them well on their journey to the afterlife. Or to a respawn station if you failed to take out the whole squad.

Wraith: Existential Crisis

We all know that Wraith is a bit unstable. As a result of some traumatic experience, she can’t remember her past and is forced to listen to a disembodied voice.

While most would agree that she could use some quality time on a therapist’s couch, her damaged mental state does have its advantages. One of which is her ability to manipulate the void, which is most evident in her teleportation skills.

The Existential Crisis finisher showcases her powers in grand fashion. Not only does she quickly, and painfully, beat the snot out of her victim, she also teleports around them. It’s like what you’d see in a fighting game.

Wraith ends the barrage of attacks with a brutal head stomp, basically letting the player know that she isn’t someone to be trifled with.

Mirage: Pound it Bro

Mirage is a character — like seriously. The way he exudes confidence, even when he isn’t sure of himself, his carefree demeanor, his sarcastic one-liners – he’s easily the most charming Legend in the game. Add his unique ability to use holographic decoys, and you got a serious contender for the Face of Apex Legends.

So, it only makes sense that Mirage’s best finisher is the one where he is the center of attention. Pound it Bro starts with one of his decoys slowly creeping up on a fallen rival. While their attention is on the decoy, the real Mirage punches them in the face.

The whole ordeal ends with him giving “himself” a pound. Classic!

Wraith: Into the Light

Wraith has some of the best finishers in Apex Legends, and she has made the list twice as a result. Her Into the Light finisher is the better of the two though…

Always one for melee attacks, Wraith again pummels her target, landing a mean combination of jabs before they keel over. What makes this one so great through is that, after she finishes them off, she tosses their body through a portal.

Not only did she successfully take someone out, but she also gets rid of the body. Talk about being an efficient assassin.

Pathfinder: Hi-5

Pathfinder has the most brutal finisher in the game. Called the Hi-5, Pathfinder throws his grappling hook at his enemy and forcefully rips their throat out. It’s like something out of Mortal Kombat; Scorpion would be proud!

What takes it over the top though is Pathfinder’s innocence. Even though he just violently killed someone, he is excited that they seemingly acknowledge his assassination skills.

That is, after pulling the opponent in, Pathfinder mistakes their flailing hands as an attempt to give him a high five for a successful kill. That not the case, of course, and Pathfinder gets sad when he realizes what really happened.

Well, there you have it; these are the best finishers in the game. And while there are some limiting factors – you have to play as these particular characters and some of these finishers need to be unlocked before being used – it’s still good to know which ones will get the biggest reactions from your online rivals!
