Dying Light 2 Gameplay Trailer Rises Alongside Release Date

Techland has revealed that Dying Light 2: Stay Human will launch later this year, and pre-orders for the game are live now.

This news, along with a deep cut into Dying Light 2: Stay Human, came from the debut episode of Dying 2 Know, which will be a series of live events leading up to launch, each diving into more about the game with interviews from the developers.

The event also featured more gameplay footage of Dying Light 2: Stay Human, and you can watch the whole event here:

The interviews with developers covered a wide array of topics, with developers revealing a little about their gameplay design process, as well as the game’s parkour elements, environments, and narrative.

Techland said that they have actually doubled the number of parkour moves available to players, making the world even more of a jungle gym than it already was in the 2015 original. Players will see 3,000 different parkour animations, all of which have been given very detailed attention.

The map for Dying Light 2: Stay Human is also extremely vast. It not only is a huge stretch of land just to cross, but since the street level is overrun with monsters and death, the rooftops of a civilization that once was have now become a new ground level, giving Dying Light 2: Stay Human an elevated sense of verticality.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human will release for PC, PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and you can go pre-order it now. Alongside the standard edition ($59.99), there is a deluxe edition ($79.99) and a collectors edition ($99.99).
