In the 3DS release of Majora’s Mask, a number of things have been changed and moved around. If you played the N64 version of Majora’s Mask, you may have a pretty good idea where the Bomber Kids are – or were. One of the first big changes to actual gameplay you will come across is during the (mandatory) mini-game of finding the Bomber Kids around Clock Town.

This quest line gains you access to the telescope in the Observatory, through which you will able to nab the Moon’s Tear – the first object in the Business Scrub Scramble quest. You can trade this Moon’s Tear to the Deku Shrub in South Clock Town to access the Piece of Heart on the Clock Tower, and also to be able to reach the steps when the Clock Tower opens.

To start this quest, pop the balloon in North Clock Town that the kid in the red hat is shooting pellets at. Five small boys will assemble in a line and then scatter for you to find throughout Clock Town. It doesn’t matter what order you catch them in.

Locations

  1. In the northeast corner of North Clock Town. Hiding behind the slide platform.

  2. In upper West Clock Town. Walking near the entrance to the Sword Trainer and Post Office.

  3. In a crate in South Clock Town. In the ground area of South Clock Town (take a beeline from the doors of the Clock Tower).

  4. In a crate in the Laundry Pool. It is off to the side between the bench in the corner and the bell.

  5. On the second floor of the Stock Pot Inn. There is a Deku Flower located outside to the left near the entrance to South Clock Town. Use it to launch yourself up to the second floor. He will be hiding near the bell.

After you catch all five Bomber Kids, you will appear back in North Clock Town. The Bomber Kids will share with you the secret password to their hideout in East Clock town. In the 3DS version, you won’t need to remember it after you turn back time.

Remember: in order to catch them, simply running after them won’t do the trick. Press A to Spin Attack and move faster (don’t worry, you won’t hurt the kids). Head them off before they run through through the doorways between Clock Town areas. because you won’t be able to follow them through to other sections of town. They will reset to their original positions when you come back through.
