Batman, of course.
Even to an avowed Marvel girl like myself, the ultimate superhero has got to be the Detective. From comic books like the Dark Knight and Year One, to appearances on Saturday morning cartoons like Batman Beyond, to the Nolan and Burton Batman films, and finally in the excellent Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, Batman is clearly the pick.
And Ranker.com users agree. Batman was ranked more often in people’s top lists, and more people put him in their #1 spot than any other caped superhero.
Superman ranked second and Spiderman third, and the usual suspects round out the top 10. The top 50 did hold a few “controversial” figures, like Robin and Catwoman.
