Potentially the world's largest sandbox game now has a launch date.

One of the most highly anticipated console exclusives since it was announced, No Man’s Sky finally has a concrete release date. You can get your first taste of this massive sandbox set in space on June 21, 2016.

Since its announcement back in E3, this game managed to get a lot of people talking. The sheer size it promised was simply unbelievable, especially for an indie game. And No Man’s Sky has been notorious for keeping most of its in-game mechanics secret.

There’s still a lot that we don’t know about the game, despite knowing the release date, but we certainly know much more about it than we did last year. You’re not limited to exploring the procedurally generated universe and its planets. And you’ll have to learn how to survive hazardous planets and learn alien languages.

The game will also have player trading, an in-game economy, combat, and so on. There still are a few things the developers are being tight lipped about, but it seems like we’ll just have to be patient and wait until the game finally launches.

As an added bonus for all PlayStation 4 owners who like their games in physical copies, the game will have a Blu-ray retail version as well.

The game will also be releasing on the PC alongside the PlayStation 4 version on the 21st of June.
