The upcoming Assassin's Creed movie gets a different release date in the UK

If you want to be the first to see the Assassin's Creed movie, you might want to stay in the US.

The upcoming video game movie, Assassin's Creed, will hit cinemas on December 21, 2016. However, the movie will not be released in the United Kingdom on the same date as the United States.

The UK release of the upcoming Assassin's Creed movie will be in the first week of January 2017. This surpasses the movie's release date in the US, but only by a week, so it's not like fans in the UK have to wait a whole year to see it.

Fans of the famous video game franchise have a reason to be excited, and will hopefully not be let down by another terrible video game movie, with the only real concern being if the film will live up to expectations. Will it bring justice to the games? Will it significantly divide audiences and critics like the Warcraft movie? Or will it just be a giant flop, like past video game movies and anger players of the beloved franchise? All of these questions will be answered once the movie is released. Despite a later release in the UK, fans everywhere will find out for themselves if this movie is worthy.
