Dead Space Remake has a fairly significant control issue at launch, which prevents PC players using mouse and keyboard to sprint. This guide will provide you with tips on how to fix the sprint bug in Dead Space Remake.

Dead Space Remake Sprint Bug: Potential Fix for PC Players

Sprinting and aiming are two of the biggest issues that keyboard and mouse users have right now in Dead Space Remake. Since this is a Day One issue, it should be officially resolved with the next patch (though we don’t exactly know when that is). But for now, players need a working solution that has been raised on the official EA forums.

Here’s what you need to do to fix the sprint bug:

  1. Open the game menu by pressing “ESC” key.
  2. Select “Settings” menu.
  3. Go to “Controls” tab.
  4. Select “Controls Customization” feature.
  5. Clear all of the available default mapped controls in all the rows.
  6. Save your changes and exit.

Once your mapped controls are cleared, you should have no problem using “Left SHIFT” to sprint or “F” to use melee.

That’s everything you need to know on how to fix the sprint bug in Dead Space Remake. Stay tuned for more Dead Space Remake tips and tricks articles.
