SOMA Review

SOMA is a spectacular adventure game stuck in the jaws of a mediocre horror game.

Sometimes a horror game can fail utterly at scaring you, but still be an amazing game. Frictional Games’ SOMA is definitely one of those sorts of games, with cliche scares and predictable monsters. Yet SOMA also remains of the best hardcore science fiction adventure games of 2015. With a compelling narrative and thought-provoking questions, SOMA is more than a simple jump-scare horror title. In fact, it’s something else entirely.
