In the illustrious words of Professor Farnsworth: Good news, everybody! The much-loved animated show Futurama is coming back! It is being adapted into a mobile adventure by mobile gaming gurus TinyCo. Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow will feature original content from the show’s creator, Matt Groening, as well as from Executive Producer David X. Cohen, and many more of the cast and crew from the show.

Futurama is back, bigger and better than ever! Or possibly smaller and equally good. But either way, it’s back! We’ve got completely new stories from the original writers, cast, and animators. This is the real Futurama deal.”

— Matt Groening, Futurama Creator and Executive Producer

There is currently no date set for the game’s release, but you can sign up for alerts and updates by going to the official website. Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow will be available through the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore.

This isn’t the first time TinyCo and Fox have worked together — in 2014 they worked together to create the highly successful Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff. The game developer’s latest title draws inspiration from the Marvel Hero Universe in Marvel Avengers Academy, where you get to interaction with your favorite heroes and villains as they make their way through a high-school environment.
