GameSkinny had this idea that we all should do an interview of a family member or friend this week. I decided to interview my mother who is not a gamer but is a huge nerd like myself. She is also the reason I became the nerd I am today.

Smoky Grey: What was the first thing that really cemented your love of sci-fi?

Mom: “Well, I would have to say Star Trek. The original series was my favorite thing to watch growing up. I loved watching Captain Kirk sail around in his space ship every week.”

Smoky Grey: Who was the first to encourage your love of sci-fi?

Mom: “My mother was the first. She got me a tv for my birthday one year just so I could watch my shows without my brothers or sisters complaining.”

Smoky Grey: What is your favorite show of all time?

Mom: “That would definitely have to be Doctor Who. The first time I saw that time traveling alien I was hooked. I have been watching it since I was a child, and I still do to this day.”
