Keep Hope (And Humans) Alive in Void Terrarium Gameplay Trailer

Void Terrarium's gameplay trailer highlights the scrapyard's dangers and your human charge's frailty.

Void Terrarium, officially void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium, launches for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in July. It’s all about helping the last human survive in a harsh and hostile environment, and we get to see some of that in action thanks to today’s new Void Terrarium gameplay trailer.

Toriko is on the brink of death. It’s up to you, her friendly ‘bot savior, to scour the scrapyard and beyond for resources that might help her survive. But you’ll have to plan your moves and act fast.

Each jaunt out of Toriko’s terrarium sanctuary is timed; you have to finish and be back to assist her before time runs out, else she’ll succumb to her frailty and the environment’s hazards.

Our bot hero navigates through randomly-generated environments, searching for resources and dealing with threats as they materialize. The trailer shows what looks a lot like a Mystery Dungeon setup here, with grid-based movement and turn-based combat (which is just fine with us).

But you aren’t just using resources to upgrade the friendly robot and make it through tough environments. You’ll also take back items you can use to decorate the terrarium and make it more cozy and homely for Toriko.

Void Terrarium looks both lovely and engaging, and we can’t wait to experience it for ourselves when Void Terrarium launches on July 14 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
