One day Mechanical Ember got a pair of fused gauntlets and her life changed forever. No longer content to summon little purple butterflies, she embraced her tougher side instead.
She set about crafting a look that reflected her new attitude. None of that flimsy silk stuff would do, she went for the heavy boots and as many metal studs as she could find.
Although there was actually nothing wrong with her face, she wore a mask to cover half of it because she thought it made her look more imposing. And to all of that metal, she added fire.
But she still needed a weapon. She looked around for tough-looking things she might use.
No, that wasn’t it. Mortars took too long to load.
A rifle was better! But still not quite in-your-face enough for Ember. Then inspiration struck. She smacked herself on the forehead. Of course!
Good thing she had that mask on after all, ow! But she had figured out that the perfect weapon for her would be a sword and so she got to work at once crafting the perfect sword illusion. Her first try was too small and wispy.
She attempted something bigger. It was imposing but not quite firey enough.
Eventually she got it right.
It took a bit of practice to keep the purple out of her sword illusion. Old habits die hard!
Yet, in time, she came to perfect it. Mechanical Ember has looked like this ever since.
