Star Wars Jedi Survivor Week One Patch Notes: PC, PlayStation, Xbox Fixes

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's week one patch addresses myriad performance issues on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Here are the full patch notes.

Though Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched in an abysmal state, specifically on PC, where countless players ran into crashes and other issues, EA and Respawn will be releasing a Week One Patch on May 1 for PC and May 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The first since the game’s Day Zero patch, the exact timing for this fix hasn’t yet been revealed, so be sure to check for updates when you launch the game. Here are the full patch notes as released by EA.

Jedi Survivor Full Week One Patch Notes (May 1-May 2)

PC:

  • Performance improvements for non-raytraced rendering.

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S:

  • Multiple crashes fixed across PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S and various areas of the game.
  • Fixed crashes that were tied to skipping cinematics.
  • Performance improvements across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
  • Fixed an issue with dynamic cloth inside the Mantis.
  • Fixed various rendering issues.
  • Fixed an issue with registered Nekko colors not saving.
  • Fixed an issue with registered Nekko disappearing from the stable.
  • Fixed issues with cinematic dialogue overlapping.
  • Fixed various collision issues.
  • Fixed an issue with enemy AI remaining in T Pose during photo mode.
  • Fixed a freeze that occasionally occurred while talking to Doma.
  • Fixed a bug where the BD-oil VFX did not properly render.
  • Fixed an issue where players were getting stuck inside the Chamber of Duality if you didn’t save after leaving the chamber and die.

While I haven’t experienced any crashes on PlayStation 5, it’s more than obvious some improvements can be made, and it seems this patch will try to address some of those.

Rendering fixes ought to keep Cal’s hair from looking like weird spaghetti noodles on PS5, and the performance improvements should (hopefully) take care of the stuttering (specifically in combat sections) that’s plagued my playthrough so far.

The PC fixes for this patch are far more nebulous than those for consoles, and compared to the issues the game has been facing, it’s interesting there’s not more information just yet.

From the description, it’s hard to tell if the patch addresses the more vexing problems keeping players from, well, playing. Respawn says that more updates will be forthcoming for PC and consoles, though when remains unclear.
