Hearthstone Crafting System is a Ripoff

Hearthstone is a great game, but the rate of collecting arcane dust needs adjusted.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is one of those games that somehow makes you spend money, even though it will be a free-to-play game. It possesses that same feeling that Magic The Gathering gives you by letting you spend a lot of money to craft that perfect deck to ravage your enemies. For all intents and purposes, the current money system works and, frankly, I don’t mind it. What I do mind, however, is the crafting system and the amount of arcane dust one is able to collect at a given time.

The system needs a bit of work. And before you flail your arms up, yes, I do know it is still in closed beta testing. However, that doesn’t mean that everything is peachy. The rate in which you gain arcane dust (what you need to craft a card) is ridiculously slow.

Unless you only play the arena mode, which costs two dollars every time you want to enter, arcane dust is just too hard to collect. I find myself getting frustrated that constructed ranked play offers little in the rewards department. It would be great to be able to collect arcane dust after a match. Unfortunately though, that is not the case most of the time.

Another thing that sucks about the crafting system is that you are only able to disenchant, or deconstruct, cards that are typically only found in packs that you have to buy. Even then, the dust collected from the disenchanted card is only a fraction of what it would cost to make that same card. For example, say I have The Black Knight, which is a legendary card:

If you look at the picture, the amount of arcane dust you obtain when you disenchant this card is 400. Now this seems like a decent amount of dust until you see how much it takes to create the card. If you were to create The Black Knight, it would cost you 1600 dust. That is four times the amount you get from disenchanting.

Blizzard, I know you have to make money from this game somehow. I know that limiting the amount of dust a person can collect at one time is beneficial to you because it encourages people, like myself, to buy card packs. But please, adjust this before launch so that you have a decent, and fair, crafting system because right now, I feel that I am getting ripped off just a tad bit.
