Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak is an RTS game set before the events of the original Homeworld series. A prequel of sorts, the story takes place on a dying planet where a race to the center of the desert is underway to recover an object that could save them all.

As with previous games in the Homeworld series, this one is very much story oriented. The game is linear and takes place over 13 missions, but typically those missions are pretty large and take a hefty chunk of time to complete.

For more details check out the official webpage and don’t forget to check out the sale on Steam this week as well. For those wanting the full Homeworld experience, you can find the Homeworld Remastered Collection on Steam for 50% off as well.
