Bastion Internship Phase: A Look Back

Excuse me while I eat my feelings.

Please don’t try to find that website…it probably doesn’t exist.

In my last internship article, I talked about how I was able to make amazing friends and became a better writer. The Bastion Phase has honestly been a great learning experience over the great time I’ve had.

There has been a huge difference coming from the Beta phase to Bastion phase. The most trying and rewarding experience was most definitely covering E3. I had never covered a huge conference full of great things to talk about. Since then, I’ve found myself not being able to handle the now slow pace of the internship. Lets not even mention that it was the same week as my brother’s wedding.

I also went from team leader to editor during this phase. With the help of one of my favorite team members, which means nothing since they are all my favorite, I was able to improve on my editing skills. In the biz (I’ve always wanted to say that) being able to edit is a really valuable skill to have.

Who am I even kidding? I’m sad to be leaving my team and ultimately disbanding team Alpha. There is only one thing to do during this trying hour.

As this internship closes, I know I’m going to miss my teammates. Alpha is breaking up and we are going our separate ways. I’ll always remember my team, and they will always be in my heart.
