Computer Gaming vs Console Gaming

What do you think is better, Computer Gaming or Console Gaming? Tell me your opinions.
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

I’ve been a long-time gamer and I’ve heard many sides of different stories about computer gamers vs console gamers, and whom is better.

Consoles are where it’s at!

I’ve honestly always been a console gamer. There’s just this satisfaction I get while sitting on a sofa and playing a game on the television. I’ve had many people ask me, “Why don’t you just hook your computer into the television?”. Honestly guys, it will ruin it.

I’m not much of an MMO fan, I prefer to play games locally on LAN or split-screen and such with friends, not with a crowded game server. It feels more personal when playing with your friends or ‘clan’ instead of everyone and their brother.

There is some fact to stories I’ve heard, where computer games are more easier to handle in the upgrade category. I’ve been told it’s much easier to upgrade your computer instead of buying an entire new console, just for a few games. This seems valid, because adding RAM and a graphics card is less costly and easier than going to a store and dropping $500 on the newest system.

So what about you?

I’d love to hear your opinions guys, I’ve always been intrigued by this split line of gamers, and would love more insight.
