The Coral Fang was having a bad day. Again. In fact, she could only remember having bad days. Nobody took her seriously as a necromancer.
Its not easy to look terrifying in a pink dress, but Coral was doing her best. Although she had no direct control over lightning, she thought that if she climbed up high to be near it she would be more scary.
That was when it started to rain. It became very slippery, and Coral fell. It was a long way down.
A very long way down. But as she landed, something strange happened. It began as a bright glow within her.
She wasn’t sure why, but she felt different.
She rose into the air, transformed.
The gloomy sky meant nothing to her anymore.
Gravity also held no sway over her any longer. This made it easy to frighten people.
And frightening people was fun!
Coral hasn’t had a bad day since.
