Fine Dining with a League Twist

A restaurant has opened in Chongqing, China with League of Legends-themed outfits, merchandise, and meals.

We’ve all seen examples of China applying questionable licenses to things in order to appeal to customers.  A recent example would be the World of Warcraft theme park that made headlines not long ago.  Now China’s found another world-famous IP to make commercial use of.  This time they are targeting League of Legends, and they’ve made the MOBA into a restaurant.

The menu is filled with items very clearly inspired by the various champions of the game.  Skarner’s meal is a plate of deep-fried scorpions, Rammus is soft-shell turtle, Cassiopeia is braised snake meat, and Anivia is… chicken.

Aside from the champion-specific food there are also drinks likewise fitting the theme.  Be careful, though, these drinks add a couple zeroes on the in-game cost of 35 gold.

Whether or not this restaurant has any actual agreement with Riot Games to use the League of Legends name it still looks like it would be a lot of fun to visit.  If you’re in the area, let me know how the food tastes!
