Gotta Catch em.. all?

A long time fan of Sony Online Entertainment and a thirst for journalism experience means that I am ripe for the picking!
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Dragon’s Prophet, the new game from Runewaker Entertainment and Sony Online Entertainment is on the eve of Open Beta. With just a few tedious hours remaining on the floodgates, those who purchased the founder’s package are already embarking on their journey of dragons, housing, and fast-paced combat with onlookers glaring with envy. For weeks now, Todd “Tanthor” Carson (Senior Producer) and Rod “Dartok” Haza (Associate Producer) have been edging away at what makes Dragon’s Prophet unique, but for the majority of us, our experiences with the game are brand new.

These next coming months will prove to be a testing ground for the new game with an important presence at SOE Live come August. As a connoisseur of all things MMO, it has been my pleasure to support SOE since the release of Planes of Power in Everquest. A majority of my young adulthood was spent glued to the monitor with Everquest II and SOE’s recent development of Planetside II has kicked up the traditional relationships between developers and the communities, enticing me even more! Luckily, with my current job of servitude, I was able to plan for a trip to SOE Live this year, not as press but as a participant. Then, I came across this contest and was able to download Dragon’s Prophet. Talk about fun! As I approach level 20 with my two dragons and my already spent Station Cash, I look forward to learning all the eccentricities of this game.

SOE and Runewaker still have a majority of projects in the works like Citadel PVP islands and the soft-launch could mean many changes in the future. I look forward to the possibility of sharing my trials and tribulations, both in Vegas and in Auratia. Also, as a current communications major at Stetson University (FL) this would be a fantastic opportunity!
