King Tantalus is a Mesmer, but with a difference. Unlike most Mesmers, he has very little natural magical ability, and besides his cute face, not a whole lot of charm.

How then did he become so skilled in his magics? Technology of course! Powered by the legendary sword Bolt, Tantalus has managed to create a shoulder-mounted mind control device, the effects of which do resemble the traditional abilities of the Mesmers.

Inspiration:

I’m a huge fan of anything mechanical, and also like the idea of magic. Electricity doesn’t seem to be a million miles away from magic in terms of its applications, so why not make an outfit that shows how electricity can be used as raw power for performing magical feats!?
