Kingdom Hearts is the center of a lot of 20-something’s nostalgia; just the mention of it can make a young adult squeal like a kid on Christmas. It’s one of the series that I’ve noticed has one of the biggest fandoms to speak of. In the games section of FanFiction.net, Kingdom Hearts has close to 70 thousand fictions written to date. Blogs and art sites always turn out new art just as creative as the last. One of the newest and most exciting expressions of fan love is Fandom Hearts: A Kingdom Hearts Parody Musical.
88 pages of pure parody
The story follows the original Kingdom Hearts with all main characters present, but don’t expect a simple rehashing of the story! The trailer promises 18 original songs and a twisted retelling of the events of the first game, much to the liking of Starkid. A promise is also made to flesh out our favorite characters more than game was able, making it complete with a comedic and spoofy finish.
Opening night
Fandom Hearts will perform for the first time at ConBravo! 2013 (held July 26th – 28th), but the show will be uploaded to YouTube as well for those of you who can’t make it.
