Life is a never-ending story …

This is my story - about fashion and what to wear in Tyria
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

… or something like that would probably be a pretty good motto, don’t you think ? I like it, but then life isn’t really never-ending, but who knows?

Well, you asked what’s the to wear and my answer is definitely: whatever you personally like most. But judging from that look of you, I guess I’ll have to be more specific. You see, the stuff I’m wearing I mostly picked up on my travels around Tyria. Actually most of it was made for me by friends of mine that are exceptionally good at working with fabrics (I could never do stuff like that). If some of your friends can do something like that too just check in with them. If not, well you can never have enough friends so just go out there and become friends with some new people.

Also this one time when I was roaming around in the mists, I was almost literally stunned by the looks of these leggings (and well yes, I did not manage to dodge that fireball …). I couldn’t get them out of my mind (I mean it was almost as if they were burned into it) so I asked around in Lion’s Arch. There some merchants told me that former colleagues of them (‘operating’ somewhere at the Bloodtide Coast) could probably get their hands of something like that, for a price of course (there’s always a price … I wonder how it came to that).

Also when I was traveling (or more fighting my way) through Orr, I met priestess at the ancient temple of Lyssa. We had the quite the adventure there and … what, oh okay I’ll come back to clothing. Anyway she told me that up to a few hundred years ago all Mesmers (did I mention we both are Mesmers?) wore masks over their faces as a sign of their profession (also something about, then too having two faces, I don’t really remember). And since we found some really good masks right there I decided to continue that tradition.

How to recreate the look:

  • Ligth Acron Helm (Karma merchants at all Orr-temples)
  • Student Mantle (crafting or TP)
  • Winged Tunic (crafting or TP)
  • Winged gloves (crafting or TP)
  • Light Pirate Leggings (Karma merchant in Bloodtide Coast, or armor-skin vendor in WvW (Statley-set)
  • Winged Boots (crafting or TP)
  • Colours: Sea Green, Tea Shade, Lemon Tint  ]

Of course at some occasions you also need to have an extra outfit to wear:

(Well, in theory you should probably never wear this clothing associated with these particular people, but then again they are in no state to use it anymore and that would be such a waste [Nightmare set with Heritage mask])

(I think someone once said I looked like Sieran dunked into green paint. I quite like that thought, there are certain people you can never have enough memories of [Priory set with Heritage mask])

I wish you all a most pleasant journey!
