My Most Anticipated Games of 2014

New year, new habits, new consoles and new games. My top 3 most anticipated games of 2014!
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Every year we get new franchises, sequels and even prequels. 2013 was a very good year for video games, but what will 2014 bring us? My favorite game of 2013 was Grand Theft Auto 5, but will it stick in my hall of fame or will 2014 make me speechless? These are my top 3 most anticipated games of 2014.

1. Watch_Dogs

This is probably one of the most mysterious games of this year. It’s a brand new franchise made by Ubisoft that was delayed relatively close to its launch. Many people were torn apart and weren’t sure of how they’d react–happy or sad.

When delaying a game, it has both good and bad effects. The game will obviously look, feel and play out better than it would’ve if it had been released at the official launch.

Watch_Dogs is about a hacker named Aiden Pearce. The game is played in Chicago, and a Central Operating System (CtOS) has most control over the electronic devices (such as mobile phones and computers), which you are able to hack by simply pressing a button. To throw it all  together, you’re in control of Chicago through your cellphone. Ubisoft hasn’t given us any further information about the plot of the game, except that it pretty much looks like an Assassin’s Creed in the future.

2. Thief

In most of my posts, I have mentioned Thief. I am a big fan of the Thief series and I’ve played all of them. It is played in “The City” (as always), and I honestly don’t really know much about this one except you’re playing as Garrett and “The City” is diseased by the plague.

I don’t want to ruin it for myself or anyone else, but this game actually seems a lot like Dishonored. The climbing on rooftops, the plague thing and the ambience just makes it almost seem like Dishonored, but more non-lethal and more Thief-like.

3. The Walking Dead: Season Two Episode 2, 3, 4 & 5

I played The walking Dead: Season Two Ep.1 on my Xbox 360 and I loved it. Before that, I never even would’ve considered playing any zombie survival game. Let’s just say that I’ve got a lot more love for the point and click games now.

One of my best friends is a huge fan of The Walking Dead series, and he’s played each one of them, except Season Two. I told him a bit about it, but he didn’t want to hear much because it would’ve of course ruined the feeling of playing it later.

I hope you enjoyed reading and comment for any Questions & Suggestions.
