Saskia of the Wild

"May the wisdom of Raven grant me the knowledge I seek."
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Saskia is a shamanistic Norn who takes enjoyment in collecting feathers, bones and all sorts of trinkets and creating elixirs and poisons. Dressed in colours a sharp contrast to her dark skin, she chooses to make herself look fierce with the choice of avian skulls and demonic facepaint.

In her choice of weaponry, Saskia likes to keep it simple. When not using her stave for walking, she prefers to keep a double-ended dagger on hand for the more troublesome creatures that Tyria has to offer. When faced with something stronger though, she is no stranger to the arts of necromancy and is adept at creating different afflictions to use in combat.

Saskia is not all about combat, however. At her waist she keeps a selection of home-brewed vials containing elixirs of transformation. When in need of a disguise, what could be better than transforming into a leopard or an owl?

The Outfit

This is an outfit I am quite proud of as it proves that you don’t need to run dungeons in order to achieve a satisfying appearance. While some aspects are more difficult than others (i.e. Halloween shoulders) the majority can be bought easily from Karma vendors and from WvW skin vendors.

  • The mask is by far the favourite part of the outfit and is actually what inspired me. After choosing one of the facepaint options for my character which covered a vast majority of her face, I found that adding the necromancer demon mask seemed to transform her completely into a new character.
  • Colours used in this outfit consist of only three: Burgundy, Icing and Pitch. These were used to create an outfit which would match the colour scheme of her face.
  • The weaponry shown in the screenshot above is the Centurion’s Blade from the Hall of Monuments. This was oddly the only fitting dagger I could find for her and I adored the design.
