After all these years of playing Pokemon, I realized I’m not a Pokemon master. I’ve never obtained all the Pokemon without cheating.
Sure, I’ve beaten the Elite 4 without cheating, but can you really call yourself a Pokemon Master just because you’ve beaten the Elite 4? Don’t you just feel a bit empty if you don’t have all the Pokemon?
I’ve used things like the Missingo glitcnh from Red and Blue to duplicate Master Balls and Rare Candy, thus enabling me to catch Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, and MewTwo with no effort. Also, the Missingno glitch helped to level up those lame Pokemon who become great later in evolution stages in minutes. On top of all that, I used the gameshark and action replay cheat codes to force Pokemon to appear, which makes the games invalid for tournament play.
How can I be a Pokemon Master if I can’t even compete in a single tournament?
The Challenge
I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to start from the beginning. I’ll need to track down used copies of Red, Blue, Yellow, Crystal, Diamond, Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby. I have never even played Emerald, Sapphire, or Ruby; I had left the Pokemon for awhile and returned out of boredom just before Black and White were released. My end all, be all goal is to have both Black2 and White2, with all Pokemon in their final stage of evolution, without cheating. So I challenge all of you to go out and try the same. In the words of Ash, “Pikachu I choose you!”
