The Last Of Us, a survival game, is based around two characters, Joel and Ellie. These two wander the world and attempt to survive in a post apocalyptic world, dated 2033. Sound familiar? In today’s society, this situation has been repeated over and over, in TV (Walking Dead), books (The Road) and even other games.
But this game is being called the game of the generation by gamers all over the world.
Why is that? The narrative.
The story behind the two characters is what really sets this game apart from others. We get an in-depth look at the lives of Joel and Ellie as we adventure through the game, and the way the creators tugged at our heart strings is bound to have gamers all over the world hooked. If you Google the game right now, most of the reviews that come up are all positive. The Last Of Us takes us on an emotional roller coaster that we didn’t even know we were getting onto, and that’s what separates it from other games.
