Titanfall Draws Near: Prepare to Drop

Excited about Titanfall? So are we! GameSkinny will be the place to be for all info on Titanfall after launch.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Titanfall is almost here and I’m sure many of you are excited, I know I am. After seeing it at E3 I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. For those that don’t know, Titanfall is a first-person shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment. It combines people and mechs, called Titans, in a unique style of gameplay.

I did not have as much time with the beta as I would have liked, but what I did experience was great. You’ll see mixed reviews on Titanfall, some saying it is revolutionary and others saying it’s the same thing we’ve played before.

I think there are extremes on both ends, but I lean more towards the latter. Yes, individually the elements in Titanfall don’t seem very new, but combining everything is what makes this a unique game. The gameplay and transition between Pilot and Titan feels smooth and natural.

Get to the Titan

When playing as a Pilot, you can do more than just simply run and gun. You can jump high and run on walls for a short distance. You don’t feel helpless when going against Titans either. A good Pilot can still take down a Titan with enough skill and cunning.

The Titan’s are huge and feel powerful. Rightfully so, but it doesn’t seem overpowered. Titans can still go down easily if you aren’t careful and you have to work to gain access to it. You will not see everyone riding around in Titan’s unless the team is very good and don’t get defeated often.

When the game releases I’m sure many people will have questions, ask for tips, wonder about the different weapons/Titans/customizations there are, and more. Look no further than GameSkinny! ChizeloffdaBlock and I will be covering everything on Titanfall.

I will also be streaming for the first time ever by using the updated Twitch app on Xbox One as soon as it is available. You can find me on Xbox One with the gamertag Synzer, or on Twitch with the username Synzer18.

Titanfall launches March 11th for Xbox One and PC. In the meantime, have fun dropping Titans on random things. Remember, life is better with a Titan.
