Tobuscus Plays and Sings Video Games

Toby Turner, better known as Tobuscus, is an actor, comedian, and YouTube personality.  He  has three YouTube channels: Tobuscus (2006), TobyTurner (2009), and TobyGames(2010).  Turner began his YouTube career in 2006 and has since obtained over 14 million subscribers over the three channels and has received over 3 billion video views.

Tobuscus is one of the top 35 YouTube channels and features, among other things, literal trailers. It seems that this is what most know him for and what most frequent this channel to watch.  The video that has the least amount of views, X-Men: Days of Future Past, was debuted at the end of May and has almost 500,000 views already.  But some of his earlier videos, like his Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Skyrim literal trailers have between 10 and 15 million views, some even going as high as 38 million, like the Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood trailer, my personal favorite. Actually, I think that this trailer is what made me want to get into the Assassin’s Creed franchise in the first place. 

Not only are his literal trailers funny and entertaining, but they feature the actual trailers from movies and video games, which are often brilliant on their own. Tobuscus makes up songs that follow the tune of the music of the video. Such as the Assassin’s Creed Revelations trailer which originally features the song “Iron” by Woodkid.

 TobyGames is the 26th most subscribed channel on YouTube.  This channel is Turner’s let’s play channel that allows the audience to watch him play various games.  This channel is known best for his Minecraft, Skyrim, Slender, and Walking Dead series.

His most popular video on this channel is “Slender Scares Me!!” a 13-minute video that features Turner playing the popular Slender Man game and, at times, seemingly having a panic attack.  It currently has almost 9 million views and is absolutely hilarious.

Turner’s final channel is TobyTurner and features daily video blogs, which he refers to as “Lazy Vlogs,” unedited videos from all over that are on topics as vast as a beerfest, being robbed by the “In-N-Out Burglar,” and Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez kissing— which has received almost 30 million views. 

I would most definitely suggest checking this YouTube artist, especially the Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood literal trailer!
