It’s that time of year, folks, the time when Black Friday consumes the lives of every department store employee and post-Turkey Day consumer to the extent that they forget they have families. Coincidentally, this is also the time of year that we turn a blind eye to all of that because, “Ah, holidays! Must buy gifts for myself. Look at all these great deals!”
So in the spirit of the season, here are some of the best Black Friday deals coming our way this year.
Sony and PlayStation Store Black Friday Deals
These deals, running from November 19 November 27, are related to Sony products across all retailers, from Best Buy to Amazon and beyond.
The 1TB standard slim PlayStation 4 will be on sale for $199.99 this year, alongside Dual Shock 4 controllers for $40 (that’s compared to their normal $60 price tag).
For anyone interested in virtual reality gaming on the PlayStation 4, the PSVR Gran Turismo Sport Bundle will cost $299, while the PSVR Skyrim VR Bundle will retail for $350.
PSN will also have a special Black Friday sale. PlayStation Plus subscribers will get special, early access to these deals on November 17; everyone else will have access to them on November 21. The sale will end on November 28.

Nintendo Black Friday Video Game Deals
Sadly, Nintendo’s Black Friday Deals are largely underwhelming this year, but if you’re looking for a 2DS or Nintendo Switch Black Friday deal, there are currently two options:
- The Legend of Zelda-themed 2DS with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D pre-loaded onto it for $79.99. Note: This is the standard 2DS, not the NEW 2DS.
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Explorer’s Edition, which includes the original Nintendo Switch game, a 100-page explorer’s guide, and a two-sided map, all for $59.99. Note: This release does not include any of Breath of the Wild‘s DLC.

Microsoft Black Friday Deals
Microsoft has a few decent console offers for Black Friday 2017:
- A $189 500GB Xbox One S, along with a free game of your choice and a free month of Game Pass.
- An Xbox One X 500 GB bundle for $249, which is similar to the Xbox One S bundle above, except you get two free games.

Gamestop has a ton of great Black Friday deals this year. All offers are valid November 23 through November 26. Doors open at 4 p.m. on November 23. Moreover, many of the publisher-specific deals above should also be available at Gamestop this Black Friday.

Toys-r-Us Black Friday Deals
Toy-r-Us will open their doors at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will have Black Friday deals running until closing time on Saturday, November 25.
Note: Toys-r-Us has actually somewhat recently filed bankruptcy, so there is a good chance that a store near you might be closing, in which case, there might be some “going out of business” sales, soon.
- $30 for Ghost Recon Wildlands and Watch Dogs 2.
- Grand Theft Auto V and Persona 5 are also available for $30, while Just Dance 2018, Forza 7, and South Park: The Fractured But Whole are available for $40.
- Toys-r-Us is also having a large sale on many of their board games, as most of them will cost anywhere between $5-15.
Shark Robot
While Shark Robot technically sells gaming related gear, they have some decent deals going on that may be worth your time to check out.
- Site wide 15% discount when you use the code “BLACKFRIDAY17” at checkout. This runs from November 11 until the 17.
- BOGO free when buying items from clearance. Supplies are limited. Most shirts in clearance cost only $5.
- Free Shipping on US orders over $60 and International Orders over $100.
Best Buy
As would be expected, Best Buy has a ton of tech and gaming related products on sale for Black Friday. There are over 20 pages of deals, so if you want to check them all out, you can here. However, below are the biggest gaming related deals.

Walmart
Walmart, like all of the other largest retailers, has extensive Black Friday sales running from Thanksgiving Thursday and on into the coming days. Walmart in particular will open their doors at 6pm on 11/23.
Walmart’s website says you can buy online and pickup in store, but I am not exactly sure how this system works, so you will definitely want to look more into it prior to Black Friday.

It should be noted, that the way that Walmart’s advert and website are laid out, that some of the available games are not exactly clear.

Target
Target opens their doors at 6pm on Thursday, close at midnight, and reopens at 6am on Friday. Much like Walmart, Target also did a terrible job displaying which games will be on sale and at what price, so the below lists are incomplete.
