Titanfall: Xbox One VS PC Comparison

Which version of Titanfall is better? PC or Xbox One? Here is a comparison to help you figure out which version you should pick up.

I need start this off by saying what many of you already know. I am one of those PC people who mostly only play games on PC. I rarely play games on any other system unless it is a Nintendo game, because I’m a fanboy of the Zelda series. So, for me to make a PC versus Xbox One video of Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall would be a little biased.

Luckily, the folks at VG24/7 made one. Click on the video below to watch!

As you can see from the video, the graphics, sound, and everything between is nearly identical between the PC and Xbox One versions. In fact, there is only one real difference that anyone should worry about when deciding which version to buy.

That difference is frame rate.

With the Xbox One, the dev team has already promised 60 frames per second running at 720p. This is a respectable number and will look great on living room televisions. However, this also means that when things get heated up like they do in the video, the game may drop frames from time to time, producing a slight stutter. With the PC version, there are no such limits; you can clearly see that the game doesn’t stutter as often. Better hardware equals better performance, pure and simple.

Both versions of the game will offer hours upon hours of pure adrenaline fun when the game finally launches next month, but as for me, I will enjoy running this game in 1080p+ resolutions and getting over 60 fps.

Titanfall launches March 11th for Xbox One and PC, March 25th for Xbox 360.
