Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Trailer Highlights X-Men, Deadpool Taco Selfie

A new trailer for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order gives players their best look at the X-Men yet.

As we edge closer to the release of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order on July 19, Nintendo continues to release more and more information on the action role-playing game. The game’s latest trailer highlights the X-Men, including Magneto, Juggernaut, Psylocke, Mystique, Beast, and more.

There’s also a very in-character Deadpool moment at the very end featuring a selfie and a taco.

The trailer features Magneto ripping apart the X-Mansion as only Magneto can. As is expected, there’s a ton of action, with multiple X-Men making appearances, including previously-confirmed characters such as Wolverine and Nightcrawler. Of course, The Black Order is out for the Infinity Stones, pitting them against Magneto, who seems to be in possession of the Power Stone.

More of the game’s frenetic 4-player co-op is shown as well, centering on well-known X-Men villains and the notorious Sentinels. The full trailer can be seen in the header above.

Recently, Venom was revealed as the game’s latest boss, joining Electro, Green Goblin, Ultron, Sandman, Thanos, and more. On top of that, recent merchandise has revealed even more characters for the game.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is the first game in the popular franchise in 10 years. The game features a familiar isometric camera style found in the series’ previous entries, although there is now a new option that provides a more single-player style camera

Players will be able to combine powers this time around as well. Although Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 only allowed fusions of up to two players, MUA 3 features Synergy Attacks as well as 4-player combined Ultimate Extreme attacks that are able to wipe an entire screen of enemies.

Infinity Trials also make an appearance in MUA 3. These are challenges players can undertake in order to obtain rewards.

Developed by Team Ninja, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order looks to be the, ahem, ultimate entry in the series. From brand-new systems like the Alliance Enhancement System, which upgrades an entire team of players, to tried-and-true team-based action, it won’t be much longer before Marvel fans can team up and experience what looks to be the best of old and new.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is set to release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on July 19
