Looking for a VR Game? Here's One from the Ratchet & Clank Developer

Insomniac Games has released Edge of Nowhere, exclusively for Oculus Rift and available via the Oculus Store.

Insomniac Games, developer of the Ratchet & Clank series, as well as the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy and Sunset Overdrive, has released a brand new VR-exclusive game for Oculus Rift. Titled Edge of Nowhere, it is now available for purchase via the Oculus Store.

The official website describes the action-adventure game as an "unsettling psychological thriller." The story takes place in the frigid temperatures of Antarctica, as protagonist Victor Howard searches for his missing fiancé, Ava Thorne. Ava is part of a missing expedition team, and in his search, Victor must encounter various challenges -- both native and alien (literally).

Victor's obstacles include huge ice walls, "treacherous" mountains, dark caves, and cliffs. The site pushes the use of wits as well as weapons to conquer these areas, in the hope of escaping internal and external turmoil.

I'll be checking this game out in the future as soon as I'm able to afford the Occulus Rift. It looks quite nice and it's a departure from the developer's previous works which is good. A little change can ultimately benefit a creator depending on how they go about it.
