Left Alive is a third-person shooter developed and published by Square Enix. It is set in the universe of Front Mission, a video game series dating back to 1995 that features mechs called "wanzers."
The story of Left Alive follows three protagonists as they attempt to survive the war-torn Novo Slava of 2127. Its gameplay pits players against armed soldiers and gigantic mechs alike.
The team behind the survival action shooter features several veterans of the genre. This includes Toshifumi Nabeshima, producer on six of From Software’s Armored Core entries, as director and Yoji Shinkawa, the designer responsible for Metal Gear Solid's characters and mechs, as character designer.
