The Last of Us 2 is the long-awaited follow-up to Naughty Dog's 2013 hit, The Last of Us. It follows series' protagonist Ellie five years after the events of the first game. It is an action-adventure game that features elements of horror and survival horror.
The Last of Us 2 features expanded gameplay mechanics, such as being able to go prone, as well as an expanded skill tree separated into three specific branches: survival, crafting, and stealth. It takes place in and around Seattle, Washington.
TLoU2 was delayed from its original launch date two times, finally releasing on June 16, 2020, for the PlayStation 4 (PS4). It saw several leaks containing huge spoilers, where both plot and gameplay details, including the ending, were released ahead of the game on Twitter and Reddit. The game saw controversy even before its launch for its violence and inclusion of attack dogs.
