Nintendo Scares Up Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer DLC for 2020

More Luigi's Mansion 3 multiplayer mayhem is planned with a two-part DLC pack launching in 2020.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 just released in October, but Nintendo already has DLC expansions planned for Scream Park and the ScareScraper, the game’s multiplayer components.

Luigi’s Mansion 3‘s DLC will be divided into two parts, the first of which will release on April 30, 2020. The second DLC will release sometime before July 31, 2020.

Both packs are included in one DLC purchase, which will cost $9.99 in both the eShop and when purchased directly from Nintendo. Buying the DLC unlocks a special in-game item in E.Gadd’s lab, the Flashlight Type-P, which casts an oh-so-adorable Polterpup face on the wall.

We detailed what the game’s multiplayer is like a while ago. Here’s what the first DLC pack will add to it:

  • Three new minigames for multiplayer ScreamPark mode
  • Six new Themed Ghosts
  • Three new outfits for Luigi
  • Three new floor themes in co-op ScareScraper mode

All in all, it’s not a massive expansion. But if you’re already enjoying ghost-hunting with your friends and family, it’s enough to keep Luigi’s Mansion 3 fresh.

We had a frightening amount of fun with Luigi’s Mansion 3 when it first released, and it’s good to see Nintendo still plans on supporting this gem of a Switch game into the future.
