How to Celebrate in Madden 18

This quick guide will show you how to celebrate and taunt in Madden 18. Now you'll be able to rub your opponent's face in those long TD-scoring plays.

Half the fun of running plays all over your opponents in Madden 18 is rubbing their faces in how bad your genius play-calling just burned them. And one of the very best ways to do that is celebrating your big play in style — as you run the ball into the end zone.

Unlike the NFL, which increasingly seems like the curmudgeonly old codger of team-based pigskin sports, celebrating and taunting has always been a Madden staple  and continues to be so in the franchise’s latest installment. Things haven’t changed all that much from Madden 17: you’ll still need to input three buttons at the same time in order to showboat down the field.

To celebrate in Madden 18 on the Xbox One, hold RT + LT + A and you’ll high-step down the field and into the end zone just like Deion Sanders.

To celebrate in Madden 18 on the PlayStation 4 (PS4), hold L2 + R2 + X.

Although you can celebrate anywhere on the field, it’s best to make sure that you’re in the open field when you use these celebration controls. If not, you’re much more likely to take a huge hit  and since you’re much more vulnerable while celebrating in Madden 18, you’re also much more likely to fumble the ball if you celebrate at the wrong time. It’s nice to taunt, just do it at the right time.

If you want to celebrate but also make sure you get into the end zone, you can also hold LT + X on the Xbox One and L2 + Square on the PS4 to perform a celebratory dive toward the pylon. Just make sure you’re close enough to the goal line to cross the plane or your opponent will have another chance to stop you short.

Showboating is part of the game. But you don’t want to give your opponent reason to have his own celebration. Armed with these tips, you’ll both dominate the field and taunt when it matters most.
