The GameSkinny Newsletter: News You Want

At GameSkinny, we want you to get the news YOU want. Here's how you can help our helper robots pick the right stuff for you.

The GameSkinny newsletter is one way we help you stay up to date on the latest news from the gaming world. Our highly trained robot assemblers look at your favorite games, systems, tags, genres, and authors and create a daily newsletter with just the posts you’re most likely interested in. If they don’t have enough posts to keep you entertained, then they’ll happily wait and send your newsletter another day.

How do the robots know what I like?

They’re smart robots, but they’re not that smart. You have to follow things on GameSkinny to help them out. Find your favorite things on GameSkinny (whether that’s games, platforms, authors, tags, or genres) and click the follow button to add them to your stream and newsletter.

Game X is so last year, but I’m still getting news about it! How do I stop the insanity?

Our helper robots were only programmed with one emotion: total excitement. That said, if you want to let them know that you’re no longer excited about something or someone you currently follow, you can click on the “Following” button to unfollow that person or thing.

What if I want a newsletter just for a specific game or platform?

Done and done. On the page for your favorite games or platforms, you can subscribe through the newsletter box to receive a regular newsletter with posts only about that game, platform, etc.

How do I unsubscribe?

Overwhelmed by email? We get it – we’ve all been there! If you need a break from your GameSkinny newsletter, you can unsubscribe from your profile. Simply log in to GameSkinny then click on Edit Profile from your account icon.

From there, you can unsubscribe from any emails you don’t want to receive anymore by unchecking the boxes next to them.
