The Gate Level Handle in No Rest for the Wicked is located in a big room that I’ll show you below. You will be able to see how it looks in-game, as well as the map location. Location of the Mess Hall Key in No Rest for the Wicked

Now, all you have to do is go back up north on the “main road” (make sure to scavenge all breakable boxes for food, etc.) and then barge into the room. Three enemies are inside, but I believe they’re not problematic to deal with. Make sure to have some food prepared, just in case.
