Nothing like a quest without any pointers whatsoever.

Where to Find the Gate Lever Handle Location in No Rest for the Wicked

The Gate Level Handle in No Rest for the Wicked is located in a big room that I’ll show you below. You will be able to see how it looks in-game, as well as the map location. In short, you need to go west of the gate and turn south into the door. However, the door is locked, so I’ll show you how to get the key as well.

Location of the Mess Hall Key in No Rest for the Wicked

The key to this room is located directly south under the gate’s position. You will need to climb through a few “rooms” to find the Mess Hall Key on a soldier’s corpse. Here’s the exact location, as well as the map pointer below:

Now, all you have to do is go back up north on the “main road” (make sure to scavenge all breakable boxes for food, etc.) and then barge into the room. Three enemies are inside, but I believe they’re not problematic to deal with. Make sure to have some food prepared, just in case.

After you beat the enemies, talk to the blacksmith named Filmore. He’s a good guy. He’ll repair your gear for free, sell some useful supplies, and, most importantly, give you the Gate Lever Handle. He just wanted to stop the ne’er-do-wells from entering, but in his infinite wisdom, he didn’t realize he trapped himself as well.

Now, you just need to get to the gate controls. This is easily done by hopping on the cart and then on the ramp above it. After that, just follow the path to the right, and you’ll reach the gate controls.

That’s all! I hope this guide was helpful. Make sure to visit our No Rest for the Wicked game hub, where you’ll see how to use Fallen Embers and ten useful tips for beginners.
