Bayonetta 2 Demo Now Available on the Nintendo eShop

We are just a couple of weeks away from the release of the Wii U title Bayonetta 2. Until then, Nintendo has released a demo and new launch trailer to help saite our appetites while we wait.

The Bayonetta 2 demo is already available for download on the Nintendo Wii U eShop in both North America and Europe. The demo allows players to play a couple of stages from Platinum Games’ sequel. In it, gamers are able to get a feel for the game’s mechanics, and learn a little bit of how combat will play out.

Along with the demo, Platinum also released a new trailer for Bayonetta 2 (seen below). The trailer showcases some action, a little bit of the story,and some of the costumes that players will be able to come across in the game. We also get to see some of the weapons that players will be able to utilize in the game.

The spiritual successor to the Devil May Cry series, Bayonetta 2 features intense, fast-paced action. Players are able to utilize the new Umbran Climax and Witch Time powers to take out hordes of angels and demons. Gamers are able to use 0ver-the-top weapons, such as the Kafka, a bow that shoots poisonous arrows; the Rakshasa, a pair of katana blades; and the Chernobog, a giant rifle-inspired scythe.

Bayonetta 2 releases for the Wii U on October 24th for both North America and Europe. The game includes a bonus copy of the first Bayonetta. You can check out some of the Nintendo costumes that players can earn here. You can also check out a hands-on preview for the game here.
