Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night E3 Demo Now Available

The E3 demo for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now available for those who backed the game on Kickstarter.

It’s been four years since the last core Castlevania game, and as it stands, there’s no official word from Konami when — or if — any new games are currently in development.

However, series godfather Kojio Igarashi’s stepping in to fill the void. After a wildly successful Kickstarter — where the title quickly became the highest funded game in Kickstarter historyBloodstained: Ritual of the Night is here to give franchise fans something to be excited for. An ode to the Castlevania games of old, Bloodstained looks to refine the Metroidvania style with the flair and panache that only Igarashi can conjure.

And if you’re itching to get your hands of the game, you won’t have to wait until later this year to check it out for yourself. If you backed the $60 tier of the game’s Kickstarter campaign, you can play Bloodstained‘s E3 demo right now via Steam.

E3 is one of the biggest game shows in the world, and it was a valuable experience to show off the newest content in Bloodstained and gather feedback from the industry friends and colleagues we invited to play the demo. Now we’re ready to share the newest content and features with our great community of backers so we can source their input as well, which is immensely helpful to us as we continue on our journey toward launch.

— Koji Igarashi, creator of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Set in England during the late 1700s, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will see players following the cursed hero Miriam as she quests to defeat the evil summoner Gebel and his horde of insufferable demons. Hell resurrects later this year for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS Vita.

Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more news and information on the latest creation from Symphony of the Night lead Koji Igarashi. And while you’re here, check out why we said Ritual of the Night was one of our most anticipated horror games of 2018.
