This latest 14-minute gameplay trailer demonstrates the awesome fun to be had in low gravity when playing amongst friends in the multiplayer co-op. Imagine high jumps, bad guys floating off into space, methane ruptures, and humorous challenge phrases that come along with your kills. It’s everything we’ve come to expect from the Borderlands series.

The story will focus on Handsome Jack and his attempt to escape his exile from the Hyperion moonbase, and capture it for himself. The main characters of the game (the player characters) will begin as his henchmen. Like the previous games, you once again play as one of four playable characters of various classes:

  • Athena “The Gladiator” a rogue assassin of the Atlas Corporation
  • Wilhelm “The Enforcer” – who can become increasingly augmented with technology and weaponry over the course of the game
  • Nisha “The Lawbringer” – a Lynchwood Sheriff
  • Claptrap “The Fragtrap” – the last remaining of its kind…FINALLY!!

I’m so excited for this next installment into this epic series. I fell in love with the humor and smart comments of our beloved Claptrap. Now finally getting the chance to play as a Claptrap is a dream come true. Thank you, 2K!
