After tons of rumors and some leaked artwork suggesting that the next Call of Duty game would be set in World War II, developer Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that speculation with an official trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII.
Marketed as an authentic reimagining of World War II, this is the first Call of Duty game in a long time that won’t be featuring futuristic warfare. It’s set in the European Theater from 1944-1945, and will have you playing a young private who is green on the battlefield and getting his first taste of “real action” during the Battle of Normandy.
The trailer above teases several other features alongside the main campaign — including a co-op Zombie mode, an Axis vs. Allies multiplayer mode, and a social lobby that looks a lot like what you’d find in Destiny.
Call of Duty: WWII will be released on November 3 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. There will also be a closed beta available later this year, but there aren’t further details on that just yet.
